Dr. William Barrett was recently on Komo 4 News where he talks about surgery alternatives to hip surgery. Dr. Barrett discusses Anterior Approach Surgery for total hip replacement. The Anterior Approach is a tissue-sparing alternative that provides the potential with less pain, faster recovery and improved mobility because the muscle tissues are spared during the surgical procedure. the Anterior Approach allows the surgeon to work between muscles and tissues without detaching them from either the hip or thighbone, sparing the tissue from trauma.
