Zakkary Walterscheid, MD, joined Proliance Orthopedic Associates in 2024 as a hand and upper extremity surgeon. He is dedicated to helping patients with hand, wrist, and elbow issues, including fractures, trauma, and complex reconstructions.

Dr. Walterscheid earned his Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, and his Medical Doctorate from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Washington and further specialized with a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Outside of medicine, Dr. Walterscheid enjoys hiking and has a deep interest in history. Dr. Walterscheid looks forward to working with you and providing personalized care to help you get back to doing what you love.
