Jackie Foster, PA-C brings a unique blend of military and medical
experience to her role in general orthopedics at Proliance's Orthopedic
Urgent Care in Tukwila. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing
and Bachelor of Arts in German from the University of North Dakota
before pursuing her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
through the Army's Interservice Physician Assistant Program at the
University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Jackie's
path to becoming a PA was inspired by her military service, where she
witnessed firsthand the orthopedic and medical needs of soldiers across
various units. Currently serving as a PA with the Army National Guard in
Oregon, she works with an engineer battalion and has previously
deployed with infantry, artillery, and water purification units
throughout North Dakota and Oregon. This military and emergency medicine
background provides her with valuable experience in treating acute
injuries and understanding the demands placed on active individuals.
When
she's not caring for patients or serving her country, Jackie embraces
an active lifestyle with her family. Their shared passion for the
outdoors keeps them busy skiing, camping, and biking with friends, while
any extra time is spent traveling and overlanding to explore new
destinations.
Jackie believes that
patient education and continuity of care are important in providing the
best possible outcomes. Providing patients with the tools to succeed and
returning them to the quality of life they desire gives her a sense of
accomplishment and joy.
