PROLIANCE SURGERY CENTER AT VALLEY
Proliance Surgery Center at Valley is an orthopedic-dedicated ambulatory surgery center in Renton, Washington. Every operating room, every recovery bay, and every member of our staff is focused exclusively on musculoskeletal care. Orthopedics is all we do — and that focus is why U.S. News & World Report named us one of the Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the country for Orthopedics and Spine.
The center is a joint venture between Proliance Orthopedic Associates and Valley Medical Center, located adjacent to Valley Medical Center in Renton. We operate six dedicated orthopedic operating rooms and one procedure room, and our team performs nearly 4,000 orthopedic surgical procedures every year — one of the highest volumes of any orthopedic surgery center in the Pacific Northwest.

High-Volume Outpatient Total Joint Replacement
Total joint replacement is our flagship service line. We perform total knee replacements, partial knee replacements, and total hip replacements as same-day outpatient procedures. Patients arrive in the morning, have their surgery, walk with a physical therapist that afternoon, and go home the same day.
This is not a niche offering — it is the core of what we do. Our Becker's top-10 national ranking for total knee volume means our surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical techs have a level of repetition and institutional knowledge around joint replacement that is difficult to match. When your team performs thousands of these procedures, every step of the process — from pre-op optimization to pain management to same-day mobilization — gets refined down to a system.
Research consistently shows that outpatient total joint replacement in a dedicated surgery center is safe and effective for appropriately selected patients. Published data demonstrates lower infection rates in ambulatory surgery centers compared to hospitals, in part because ASCs do not house inpatients with infectious diseases. Studies also show comparable or lower rates of blood clots, readmissions, and other major complications in the outpatient setting. Our outcomes reflect those findings — patients recover faster, experience fewer complications, and report high satisfaction.
Same-day joint replacement is also significantly more cost-effective for patients and insurers compared to hospital-based surgery. The savings can be substantial depending on your insurance plan, and our team can help you understand your expected costs before surgery.
Financial Assistance Program
Our mission is to support the health and well-being of our community. As part of that, we offer financial assistance for patients who are uninsured, underinsured, or unable to pay for care. Based on income levels up to 400% of the federal poverty guidelines, this program helps ensure that cost is not a barrier to receiving necessary medical services.
